With credit to Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, who wrote the song Pure Imagination for the eternally popular 1971 movie classic Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, we invite you to take a glimpse inside our world now that we are working from home.
One of us fled Syracuse for Lake George, and spends his days at a temporary desk in the kitchen.

Some of us are more organized than others, and have nailed the whole journaling concept.

Some of us always dreamed of having a corner office, but never imagined it would be…at home.

Lots of us are sharing our home offices with coworkers who have zero concept of office etiquette and frequently interrupt, begging for snacks or to go outside and play. I could be talking about my kids, but they are middle schoolers, so they do their schoolwork fairly independently, pecking away at their laptops, hitting rewind on that confusing part of the algebra class. The pesky but oh so lovable officemates are our dogs – and several of us have been helping our dogs dreams come true by being home every day.
Keene has two speeds: nap, or let’s play ball.

Three chocolate labs are exploring nature with long walks to the creek, aka heaven on earth, every day.

Some of them snore rather loudly while dreaming away in a puddle of sun, and some of them give the “are you done yet?” look (do not enter a staring contest with her, you will lose).

So, this is where the magic happens for us at home. I think it’s safe to say that we all got a golden ticket and are making the best of unexpected circumstances. From our homes to yours, we wish you health and happiness.
